We could have had another school, kept up the social services and day centres to full capacity, and so many other things of far greater importance and value. Only 3,500 residents con-tacted the council to retain the so called "view". Have these people realised just how much money it has cost every ratepayer who lives in Bournemouth? It is their money the council have spent. There has been loads of talk and spending of our money, giving our assets away. Since 2007 the only investment has been in flat development. I would guess that ultimately this is what will appear on this site - flats!
Bournemouth Tourism should perhaps concentrate on the best assets, our beautiful beaches, promenades, gardens and clifftops. I have no faith or confidence in the suggested scheme for an outdoor arena.
With such a huge majority the Tory council can push through anything they want as the political opposition is too small to fight on behalf of the rest of us. I could weep.
