Positions

  • Scottish nationalism - "Separatism is a word of the past, nobody has anything to gain from separatism from the world which whether one likes it or not is globalised"
  • The Future of the EU - "I'm convinced we need more Europe in the future certainly not less Europe, and this is not a matter of left or right... I would not use the word federalised state to describe the EU's future. The Union is not a state it is made of of 27 states they are there to stay"
  • Euro Bonds - "For me Euro Bonds are not an immediate solution to the Eurozone soveriegn debt crisis, before creating them more discipline and confidence are needed. One has to first create the right conditions for them, at least you need a rather long preparatory phase"
